On April 11, 2018, the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte led the Dutch economic and trade delegation to China to sign an agreement on cooperation in various fields with China. Witnessed by the Prime Minister Rutte, JITRI signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with Wageningen University and the Taizhou Municipal Government, under which, for the smart greenhouse construction cooperation project, JITRI will introduce the high-yield and high-quality tomato varieties and relevant cultivation technologies for cultivation in intelligent greenhouses from the Netherlands so as to build a world-class tomato intelligent greenhouse cultivation technology system. Hu Yidong, JITRI’s Secretary of CPC Committee, Arthur Mol, President of Wageningen University and Chen Mingguan, Deputy Mayor of Taizhou Municipal Government signed the memorandum on behalf of the parties.
Last December, JITRI entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Wageningen University and Taizhou Municipal Government. The cooperation of the specific technology for high-yield and high-quality tomato varieties and the relevant cultivation marks the gradual progress of the three parties into a practical cooperation phase. JITRI is committed to satisfying the actual demands of local industrial development, introducing advanced European technologies and management experience, bringing together more high-end resources and elements, and playing an active role in the development of agricultural innovation.
